We were going to sell our home and were not looking forward to the agony we’d suffer in the process. And the thought of paying someone 6 to 7% of the selling price for what appeared to be 15 minutes of their effort irked us. Ed Wright, a long time friend, told us of his Help-U-Sell business and how we could cut out the selling commission entirely by selling the house ourselves (who knew our home better than my wife and I) and pay a low set fee for the listing and the related real estate services.
